MINERAL is EC*s seasonal fundraising party centering music and performances by trans and queer artists of color. MINERAL creates wholesome and free spaces that are in touch with nature, bringing the dance floor out from the shadows.

  • For it's first edition, MINERAL served a day-long dose of playful, melodic electronic music from the finest of New York City's queer underground to celebrate Juneteenth weekend, right on the coast of Fire Island.

MINERAL's inaugural lineup included Miss Parker, Ren G, Fashion LaBeija, a special live performance of new music by New York City legend Kalifa, FKA Le1f, and a DJ debut by Isis.

The Pines, Fire Island has been known as a safe space predominantly for affluent, white, cis-gay men. MINERAL’s first edition aimed to extend that same access to NYC's trans, queer, and non-binary communities of color, and to hold welcoming space for all.

MINERAL believes that partying is elemental.

MINERAL has a zero tolerance policy for any form of violence or creepiness; violators will be removed and banned from all future events indefinitely.

MINERAL practices harm reduction and believes everyone should enjoy their time however they want to; just keep it cute and don’t infringe on anyone else’s good time.

MINERAL’s dance floors are for dancing.

Trauma is stored in the hips so fuc*ing move them.

Cherish and respect the space of the party, and keep it clean.

Protect, make space for, and uplift one another.

Genuinely complement a stranger. Tell your friends you love them. Enjoy your life. MINERAL is for your health.

Party proceeds directly support EC*s art programming, centering underrepresented queer and trans artists of color from performance and nightlife communities.
